Sweet Sleeping Babe- Newborn Logan's portrait session

When a parent to be contacts me interested in the newborn session one of the first things they always ask is "how long does the session last" and my answer is always "it really depends". Most often when I show up for a newborn session we spend a good hour to hour and a half just trying to get baby to sleep. Once the baby is down and into a good slumber the photos actually go pretty quick. Little newborn Logan spent that first hour & a half perfectly asleep! Such a rockstar!

Oates Family Homecoming Round Two

Whew what a busy summer! I have been WAY behind in blogging so time to get caught up :) Almost two months ago (yikes SO behind!) I had the honor of helping to welcome home Captain Oates from his second tour in Afghanistan. I have had the pleasure of knowing this family for a few years now and its always so special when I am able to celebrate homecomings with my friends and be there to capture the special moments in their lives over and over again. Welcome Home Gunfighters!!!

Grown-up Dress-up - A Bridal Portrait Session

A few months ago my beautiful best friend and her hunky husband celebrated their 7th anniversary by having their marriage blessed by a Catholic priest. We had planned to do her bridal portraits & trash the dress session shortly there after but between 3 kids under 3 and 2 husbands in the Marine Corps it took us a few months to finally find an evening where we could go out and really have some fun doing beautiful bridal portraits and "trashing" her dress. Today I am sharing part 1 of this session, the more classic bridal portraits BUT stay tuned because tomorrow I will post the super fun ocean "trash" session we did!!!
